- What is hospice and how can Volunteers help?
Beacon Hospice believes that every person deserves to die with dignity, free of pain, and as comfortable as possible. Susan Schank of Beacon Hospice, will explain the mission and philosophy of Beacon Hospice and how volunteers can help.
|
Volunteers can help by spending time with the patients and watching TV, reading, talking, playing cards/games or even taking them outside. Volunteers can also be of assistance by knitting, crocheting, or scrap booking. For more information there will be a program at the Woonsocket Harris Public Library on Friday October 17, 2008 at 2:00pm.
