- What is Hospice and How Can Volunteers Help?
Volunteers can serve in many ways including companionship, knitting/crocheting, sitting vigils, & scrap booking.
|
Beacon Hospice believes that every person deserves to die with dignity, free of pain and as comfortable as possible. Susan Schank, of Beacon Hospice, will explain the mission and philosophy of Beacon Hospice and how volunteers can help. Volunteers can help by spending time with the patients, watching TV, reading, talking, or even taking them outside. Volunteers can also be of assistance by knitting, crocheting, or scrap booking. For more information there will be a program at the Jesse Smith Public Library in Pascoag, RI on June 6, 2008 at 2:00 pm.
