Thursday, June 01, 2006 (EST) - Hospice Volunteer Training: Thursdays 4/20-6/1

Hospice Volunteer Training will begin Thursday, April 20th from 5:30-8:30 p.m., and continue on Thursday evenings through June 1st at the South Portland office. For more information, please contact Donna Teague, Volunteer Coordinator, 207-772-0929.



Become a vital part of the team that brings comfort and support to the terminally ill and their families in York and Cumberland counties.  Beacon Hospice staff will provide this training covering such topics as the history and philosophy of hospice; death, dying and bereavement; the medical aspects of hospice; the hospice family and communication; spiritual aspects of hospice work; and the responsibilities and rewards of being a hospice volunteer.   A light meal will be provided.

    Responsible for providing ongoing end-of-life educational opportunities within the community.

  • Admissions/Intake Coordinator LPN
    Responsible for processing patient referrals to Beacon Hospice.
