Make A Difference in Someone's Life--Including Your Own!
|
Training class starts April 10 at Duxbury Senior Center through the Before and After Dark Program. See www.duxbury.k12.ma.us for registration information. We are offering a comprehensive training class to help prepare individuals to become Hospice volunteers. The Beacon Hospice approach to care creates a patient and family environment of hope, comfort, and dignity. Volunteers are key team members and supported by a coordinator. Throughout the training volunteers will be introduced to the team members: Social Worker, Chaplain, Bereavement Coordinator and nursing staff who will all contribute to the understanding of hospice and its approach to healthcare. Join now and make a profound difference in someone’s life as well as your own. Visit with a patient, write letters, play music or hold a hand-the possibilities are endless. Upon completion, participants will receive Hospice Training Certificate, ID badge and jacket, and most importantly, an opportunity to serve others.
