- March 25-Beacon Hospice Volunteer Training Program

A free comprehensive training course, that will prepare the volunteer to offer vital support to our patients. The training covers such topics as the history of hospice, medical aspects of hospice, the hospice family and communication, spiritual aspects of care, grief and loss, and the responsibilities and rewards of being a volunteer. All classes will be held in our Nashua Office located at 157 Main Dunstable Road, Nashua, NH on 6 consecutive Wednesdays beginning March 25th and ending on April 29th. Beacon Hospice provides quality end-of-life care to terminally-ill patients in southern New Hampshire out of its office in Nashua. Specifically, volunteers are needed in the following areas: Nashua, Milford, Bedford, Goffstown, Manchester, Salem and Derry.

The RN Case Manager provides nursing care and hospice case management to hospice patients and families. Implements nursing interventions and coordinates the Patient/Family Interdisciplinary Plan of Care.
