Thank you for your interest in volunteering. A hospice volunteer offers companionship, support, a helping hand. No matter who you are, you have something to offer hospice patients. You can make a profound difference in a person’s life whether it is a 15 minute visit, writing letters, playing music, or just sitting quietly, holding a patient’s hand. Beacon Hospice’s team approach to care focuses on comfort, dignity and peace for the patient and their family. Volunteers must complete a comprehensive training program and receive on-going support from the volunteer coordinator and other members of the team.
The next training series will take place Tuesday evenings from 6-9:00 on August 25, September. 1, 8, 22, 29 and October 6 and 13.
Clerical help in the Haverhill office is also welcomed. Training dates are added regularly. Another training series will start in October.
