Beacon Hospice is offering a comprehensive seven week training to prepare interested individuals to become hospice volunteers. As a friendly visitor, your presence will be appreciated by special patients coping with life limiting illnesses. Hold a hand, read a book out loud, enjoy music together, share life stories, bring your unique personality to a bedside. The Beacon Hospice approach to care creates a patient and family environment of comfort and dignity. Volunteers are supervised by a volunteer coordinator and supported by other members of the patient care team. Your presence is your gift.
