- Beacon Hospice Volunteer Training
A Volunteer Training Program will begin June 5, 2008, from 6-9pm. To register or for more information, please contact Aimee Peden, Vol. Coordinator, at (617) 242-8370 or email apeden@beaconhospice.com.

A free comprehensive training course that will prepare the volunteer to offer vital support to our patients. The training covers such topics as the history of hospice, medical aspects of hospice, the hospice family and communication, spiritual aspects, death, dying, and bereavement, and the responsibilities and rewards of being a volunteer. All classes will be held at 529 Main Street, Suite 126 in Charlestown.
Specifically, volunteers are needed in the following areas: Arlington, Bedford, Belmont, Brighton, Brookline, Burlington, Cambridge, Charlestown, Chelsea, East Boston, Everett, Malden, Medford, Melrose, Revere, Somerville, Stoneham, Winchester, Winthrop, and Woburn.
