- Beacon Hospice Volunteer Training
Beacon Hospice is offering a seven week – 21 hour training to those interested in becoming Hospice Volunteers. Training begins Jan. 16, 2008, from 6:30-9pm. To register or for more information, please contact Aimee Peden, Vol. Coordinator, at (617) 242-8370 or email apeden@beaconhospice.com.

A free comprehensive training course that will prepare the volunteer to offer vital support to our patients. The training covers such topics as The History of Hospice, Death, Dying, Loss and Bereavement, The Medical Aspects of Hospice, and The Hospice Family.
Specifically, volunteers are needed in the following areas: Arlington, Bedford, Belmont, Brighton Brookline, Burlington, Cambridge, Charlestown, Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Melrose, Revere, Somerville, Stoneham, Winchester, Winthrop, and Woburn.
