Tuesday, July 17, 2007 (EST) - Become A Beacon Hospice Volunteer

The next Beverly office training will begin Tuesday, July 17th and will meet for 6 consecutive Tuesday evenings, 6-9pm. The training will be at North Shore Community College, 100 Cummings Center. For more information or to register, please contact Jill Hurley, Volunteer Coordinator at 978-524-9510.

Beacon Hospice is offering a comprehensive six-week training to prepare interested individuals to become hospice volunteers. As a friendly visitor, your presence will be appreciated by special patients coping with life limiting illnesses. Hold a hand, read a book out loud, enjoy music together, share life stories, bring your unique personality to a bedside. The Beacon Hospice approach to care creates a patient and family environment of comfort and dignity. Volunteers are supervised by a volunteer coordinator and supported by other members of the patient care team. Your gift is your presence.
