The Social Worker provides hospice patients and families psychosocial care regarding economic, social and emotional needs. Implements and coordinates all social service activities relating to the social aspect of the hospice program.
- Education: State requires Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited School of Social Work. Master’s Degree in Social Work preferred. Registered as Social Worker in the State (according to State Guidelines).
- Experience: Two (2) years experience in varied multidisciplinary settings in the healthcare field. Experience working with patients and families coping with terminal illness and death.
