An one time grief support meeting for people coping with loss and the holidays. There is no cost. Meetings to be held at Beacon Hospice, South Portland and York. Please contact Heather Thompson at 207-772-0929 for more information and to register.



This time of year can feel lonely and never-ending if you are grieving a loss.  Please consider joining us for conversation and support.

New Events

  • Widow/Widower Support Group
    A 5 wk bereavement support group will meet on Monday evenings from 6:00-7:30 p.m at the Beverly Hospital starting on Monday, January 5, 2009. For further details and to register, please call Lu Bonanno, Beacon Hospice, at 978-524-9510. The group is free and open to the public.

  • COPING WITH LOSS
    A daytime Bereavement Support Group for anyone who has lost a loved one will meet for eight weeks beginning Tuesday, January 27, 2009 from 1:00-2:30PM at Queen Anne Nursing Home, Hingham. Pre-registration is required.

  • ALZHEIMER’S/DEMENTIA SUPPORT GROUP
    A Support Group / Workshop for anyone who has a loved one with Alzheimer’s/Dementia living at Southwood Nursing Center in Norwell will meet monthly beginning on Thursday, January 22. Pre-registration is required.

    This position is accountable for general office clerical duties.

  • External Educator
    Responsible for providing ongoing end-of-life educational opportunities within the community.

  • Admissions/Intake Coordinator LPN
    Responsible for processing patient referrals to Beacon Hospice.
