Monday, December 15, 2008 (EST) - Saying Goodbye: The Loss of Animal Companions

One Monday a month alternating between South Portland and York locations. The first group meets on September 15, 2008, 5:30 -7:00p.m at the South Portland office. There is no cost for this group. Please contact Heather Thompson at 207-772-0929 for more information and to register.



Adults who have experienced the death of a pet will have the opportunity to share, learn and get support around grieving with others. The group will be facilitated by Heather Thompson, Bereavement Field Coordinator at Beacon Hospice.  The meeting is intended to provide a safe environment for sharing thoughts and feelings, expressing sadness and pain, and beginning to find hope and healing. There is no charge for this group.

In the York office,  the meetings will take place on Oct. 20th, Dec. 15th,  and in 2009, on February 9th, April 13th, and June 15th.  The South Portland meetings will take place on Sept. 15th, Nov. 10th, and in 2009, Jan. 12th, Mar.9th, and May 11.

    Responsible for processing patient referrals to Beacon Hospice.
