Monday, August 06, 2007 (EST) - Adult Grief Group Support

Mondays, starting August 6, 2007 for 6 consecutive weeks. The group will meet from 5:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the Beacon Hospice office located at 42 Brickyard Court in York, Maine. There is no cost for this group. Please contact Heather Thompson at 207-772-0929 for more information and to register.



Adults who have experienced the death of a loved one will have the opportunity to share, learn and get support around grieving with others. The group will be facilitated by Heather Thompson, Bereavement Coordinator at Beacon Hospice.  The closed six week group is intended to provide a safe environment for sharing thoughts and feelings, expressing sadness and pain, and beginning to find hope and healing. There is no charge for this group.

  • CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP
    A Caregiver Support Group for anyone who is caring for a loved one will meet on six consecutive Mondays (beginning Nov. 10, 2008) from 1:30-3:00PM at the Plymouth Council on Aging. For more information, please call Scott A. Ciosek at 508-747-7222.

  • HEART FOR THE HOLIDAYS/Daytime and Evening Groups
    An eight week bereavement support group for those grieving a loss
    through death at this special time of year.


  • Adult Holiday Grief and Loss Group
    Starting Tuesdays, Oct. 28th , 10a.m.-noon there will be a 3 week grief support group for adults who are struggling with the holiday season and grief. There is no cost for this group. Please contact Heather Thompson at 207-772-0929 for more information and to register.

    Responsible for providing ongoing end-of-life educational opportunities within the community.

  • Admissions/Intake Coordinator LPN
    Responsible for processing patient referrals to Beacon Hospice.
