Thursday, September 21, 2006 (EST) - A beacon of hope & healing bereavement support group

When grieving a loss of a loved one you will need a safe environment for sharing thoughts and feelings. Also, a compassionate group for expressing sadness and pain. This group will be a vibrant place for embracing hope and healing.



Beacon Hospice, Inc. presents an 8-week bereavement support group. It will be on Thursday evenings starting August 3rd through September 21st, 6:00-7:30pm. This group will meet at the Beacon Hospice site located at 259 Willow Street, Unit 2, Yarmouthport, MA.

The number of groups you attend is up to you. You may come at anytime during the 8-week session.

There is no cost. Please call Elizabeth Hjeltness, Bereavement Coordinator, at 508-778-1622 ext. 13 for information.

  • CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP
    A Caregiver Support Group for anyone who is caring for a loved one will meet on six consecutive Mondays (beginning Nov. 10, 2008) from 1:30-3:00PM at the Plymouth Council on Aging. For more information, please call Scott A. Ciosek at 508-747-7222.

  • HEART FOR THE HOLIDAYS/Daytime and Evening Groups
    An eight week bereavement support group for those grieving a loss
    through death at this special time of year.


  • Adult Holiday Grief and Loss Group
    Starting Tuesdays, Oct. 28th , 10a.m.-noon there will be a 3 week grief support group for adults who are struggling with the holiday season and grief. There is no cost for this group. Please contact Heather Thompson at 207-772-0929 for more information and to register.

    This position is accountable for general office clerical duties.

  • External Educator
    Responsible for providing ongoing end-of-life educational opportunities within the community.

  • Admissions/Intake Coordinator LPN
    Responsible for processing patient referrals to Beacon Hospice.
