Tuesday, August 26, 2008 (EST) - Healing Workshop for Widow and Widowers, 8/26/08.

Are you a widow or widower interested in meeting other widow or widowers in your age group? Are you interested in self-care or receiving support? If so YOU ARE NOT ALONE!



Beacon Hospice, Inc invites you to attend a very special healing, one time only, workshop designed specifically for people who have lost a spouse or life partner:

At the Conant Community Center, 5 Wally Krueger Way  Bridgewater, MA 02324

This Workshop Will:

- Provide participants with an opportunity to meet other widow and widowers in all stages of their loss. (All ages, amount of time since the loss and all levels of group experience or non-experience are welcome!!!)
- Provide a safe opportunity (if so desired) to tell ones story and/or listen and learn from others without judgment.
- Provide a unique activity to facilitate reflection, support, fun and healing.
- Provide each participant with a positive experience to help on their journey.

  • CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP
    A Caregiver Support Group for anyone who is caring for a loved one will meet on six consecutive Mondays (beginning Nov. 10, 2008) from 1:30-3:00PM at the Plymouth Council on Aging. For more information, please call Scott A. Ciosek at 508-747-7222.

  • HEART FOR THE HOLIDAYS/Daytime and Evening Groups
    An eight week bereavement support group for those grieving a loss
    through death at this special time of year.


  • Adult Holiday Grief and Loss Group
    Starting Tuesdays, Oct. 28th , 10a.m.-noon there will be a 3 week grief support group for adults who are struggling with the holiday season and grief. There is no cost for this group. Please contact Heather Thompson at 207-772-0929 for more information and to register.

    This position is accountable for general office clerical duties.

  • External Educator
    Responsible for providing ongoing end-of-life educational opportunities within the community.

  • Admissions/Intake Coordinator LPN
    Responsible for processing patient referrals to Beacon Hospice.
