- Understanding Grief & Loss Group
St. Paul AME Church in Cambridge and Beacon Hospice Present a Monthly Bereavement Support Group.: The group takes us through the grieving process and presents ideas on how to manage emotions and give support.

Seminar Topics
Defining grief and loss – reaching a shared understanding. Reflecting on our own experience. – what experiences you’ve had, what it has taught you, how might this assist and influence you in your work Exploring the influence of values and beliefs – personal, family, spiritual, community, social and cultural. Identifying the needs of the grieving person – how do you know what they need? who else is assisting/supporting? and what they might want from you? Self-care - how do we achieve a balance between caring for ourselves and caring for others?
Six seminars on how to best support those who are grieving:

The RN Case Manager provides nursing care and hospice case management to hospice patients and families. Implements nursing interventions and coordinates the Patient/Family Interdisciplinary Plan of Care.
Hospice Aide / CHHA
The Hospice Aide provides personal care under the supervision of the RN Case Manager.
